This Dumont home needed a full roof replacement - and that's exactly what we delivered. The old shingles were completely stripped down to the deck, protective tarps were spread across the entire yard to catch debris and protect the property, and fresh plywood sheathing went down where it was needed. No shortcuts. Every section of this roof got treated the same way.

We went with IKO Dynasty architectural shingles in Granite Black for this one. It's a bold, deep color that works really well against the white trim and dormers on this style of home. Architectural shingles have that dimensional texture that flat 3-tab shingles just can't match - they add depth and visual weight that genuinely improves how a house looks from the street.

The underlayment phase is where a lot of contractors cut corners, and it's also where you can really see the difference in how a job is done. We used Tough Skin 20 synthetic underlayment across the entire deck before a single shingle went down. That barrier is what stands between your home and water intrusion if anything ever compromises the shingles above it. It matters.

The complexity of this roofline - multiple pitches, dormers, a flat section, a brick chimney - meant the crew had to stay sharp throughout the whole job. Each transition point and valley requires precise flashing and careful layering to make sure nothing leaks down the road. What you end up with is a roof that's built right from the deck up, not just pretty on top.

We serve homeowners throughout Dumont, Bergenfield, New Milford, Cresskill, Tenafly, Haworth, Oradell, Paramus, and the surrounding Bergen County area. Whether you're dealing with an aging roof, active leaks, or just want a full replacement done the right way, we're the crew for it.
